Holiday Inn Express - Saarbrücken, an IHG Hotel

Just a short walk to the town centre, 5 to 10 mins. Bright and airy room - a side facing room that was very quiet Large comfortable bed Excellent Air Conditioning - easy to adjust, quiet and efficient. Lift to all floors Breakfast was really good - lots of choice. Convenient to have a bar downstairs - excellent German Pils! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, they look as though they like working there. If we were ever in Saarbrücken again we would book here.

The hotel is clean, spacious, well lit and has easy access to the stairs and elevator. The breakfast selections were many, including fresh fruit. Electric kettle was in the room to make some morning coffee or tea, and lots of coffee options in the breakfast area, as well. The room was clean and well lit, and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to have a full length mirror in the room as well as good lighting in the bathroom for cosmetic needs. The hotel is close to some great restaurant options—as close as a 5 minute walk. And only a 9 minute walk to the Saarbrucken train station! The staff was very attentive and spoke English, which was super helpful as I have no German language skills! Because I am an ICG member, I was able to extend my check-out time by a couple of hours to accommodate a later departing train time. I appreciated being able to wait there rather than drag my luggage around town for two hours, passing time before catching my train.

The breakfast was good and very health foods. The location to downtown area is within walking distance. The hotel is very close to a neighborhood running next to a public electric train track. The laundry service is good and conveyance.

The property was what we expect from holiday inn express. The rooms were quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the usual continental buffet, perfectly adequate for us. The Italian restaurant just up the road was great and only 2 minutes walk. Don’t know how far it was from town as we only ventured to the Italian restaurant.

The location was convenient, close to the city center and at a good distance to communication arteries. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was very good, and there was a 24-hour reception allowing late check-in.
